And wait.<br \/>\nAnd nothing happens.<\/p>\n<p>It appears Microsoft has suddenly forgotten how to make a screenshot.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve read in the meanwhile that this sudden loss of functionality has to do with the same keyboard shortcut also working in Windows 10 without the use of OneNote.<br \/>\nNevertheless, my PC is dumb AF and hadn&#8217;t gotten the specific Fall Creator&#8217;s update yet (yes, I&#8217;m running behind&#8230;)<\/p>\n<h2>Cut the crap, Zupertails. How do I solve this ?<\/h2>\n<p>A little bit of Google here and there quickly leads me to a solution &#8211;&gt;<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-281\" src=\"http:\/\/zupertails.be\/wur\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/schermopname.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"193\" height=\"710\" \/><\/p>\n<p>First of all, Microsoft uses a non-ascii way of looking at your keys.<br \/>\nAs a reference, they have a comparison table for this :<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/windows\/desktop\/dd375731(v=vs.85).aspx\">https:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/windows\/desktop\/dd375731(v=vs.85).aspx<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Memorize it (or bookmark the link ^_^)<\/p>\n<p>Next, you&#8217;ll be needing to access your registry &#8211;&gt;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open RegEdit.exe<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Office\\<span style=\"color: #993300;\">16.0<\/span>\\OneNote\\Options\\Other\\<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0 (number may vary depending on your version of Office)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Add a new DWORD with the name \u201c<strong style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">ScreenClippingShortcutKey<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u201d with the Hexadecimal value \u201c<strong>53<\/strong>\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Note: You can use any character code you want. In this case, \u201c53\u201d is the \u2018S\u2019 key<\/li>\n<li>Restart your computer (because this specific registry entry is read on booting)<\/li>\n<li>You can now use <strong>Win+Shift+S<\/strong> again to take a screen clipping and let OneNote do its thing again<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And there you have it.<br \/>\nProblem solved.<br \/>\nAnd there was much rejoicing.<\/p>\n<p>If by now you still happen to live under a rock and haven&#8217;t heard of OneNote (which exists since Office 2007), I suggest you take a good look at it (and at yourself in the mirror) on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/products.office.com\/en-us\/onenote\/digital-note-taking-app\">https:\/\/products.office.com\/en-us\/onenote\/digital-note-taking-app<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Feel free to use OneNote as it&#8217;s *drumrolls* <strong>COMPLETELY FREE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s a hot summer&#8217;s day and you&#8217;re working in your favourite Microsoft Office packet.
